About our privacy policy. TDM SALES BV cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes. This Privacy Policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided thereon by TDM SALES BV. The effective date of these terms is 16/09/2021; with the publication of a new version, all previous versions become invalid. Shop software Shopify

Our web shop is developed with software from Shopify. Personal data you provide to us for our services are shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for other purposes. Shopify is obliged under the agreement we have with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify is a certified processor of credit card data. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data are collected and/or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve the service. Shopify complies with the applicable legal retention periods for (personal) data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies; your data may be processed in the United States.

Hotmail

We use the services of Hotmail for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Hotmail does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our task to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out the deliveries. For this, it is necessary that we share your name, address, and place of residence with PostNL. PostNL uses this data only for the execution of the agreement. In case PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also makes your data available to these parties.

 

Invoicing and bookkeeping

Exactonline

For maintaining our administration and bookkeeping, we use the services of Exactonline. We share your name, address, place of residence, and details related to your order. These data are used for managing sales invoices. Your personal data are transmitted and stored securely. SAMMIT is bound to confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. SAMMIT does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

External sales channels

Bol.com

We sell (a part of) our articles through the platform Bol.com. If you place an order via this platform, Bol.com shares your order and personal data with us. We use these data to process your order. We handle your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data solely for our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use these data to contact you later - other than at your request - we will explicitly ask for your permission. Your data are not shared with third parties, except to comply with bookkeeping and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality based on the agreement between them and us or by oath or legal obligation.

We keep your data as long as you are a client of ours. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have created following your assignment.

We keep a record of handled requests; in the case of a request for erasure, we record anonymized data. All copies and excerpts of data you receive will be in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data improperly.

You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data by email to the address known to us, including an overview of the processors who hold these data, stating the category under which we have stored these data.

You always have the right to have the data we (have) process(ed) that relate to you or are traceable to you corrected. You can submit such a request to our privacy officer. You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation by email to the address known to us that the data have been corrected.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the processing of data we (have) process(ed) that relate to you or are traceable to you. You can submit such a request to our privacy officer. You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation by email to the address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data we (have) process(ed) that relate to you or are traceable to you transferred to another party. You can submit such a request to our privacy officer. You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or excerpts of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties by email to the address known to us. In all likelihood, in such a case, we will no longer be able to continue the service, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of TDM SALES BV. If you object, we will immediately stop processing the data pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will provide you with copies and/or excerpts of data we (have) process(ed) and then permanently stop the processing.
